Truth hurts. Truth stings. Yes, truth can hurt your feelings.
The word fool is mentioned in the King James Version of the Bible 258 times. Apparently sensitive people aren’t aware that hurtful words are being used by God.
No less than our Lord Jesus Christ used them:
Matthew 23:17 Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gold, or the temple that sanctifieth the gold?
One might say, but that is Christ, he sees the heart of men. So of course he can judge and say that rightfully. Well OK, but that just proves the word fool isn’t evil per se. It’s just that it can only be used by God.
But then again, Paul used hurtful words as well:
Acts 13:10 And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?
One of the forumers argued that Paul is an apostle and has authority to say that.
